Biography

Orval was born in 1918 on a farm in Cartwright Township, now part of Durham Region, Ontario.[1][2] He apprenticed as an electrician. He married Patricia Pearce on June 26,1948 in Newcastle, Durham Region. [3][4]

They settled in Chesley, Bruce County, Ontario where he started his own business, Stinson Electric. [5] They had 3 children. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department, and the Legion. He liked to fish and hunt. Other hobbies included lawn bowling, curling, following the Leafs and the Jays, breeding hounds and beagles, making wine, gardening. [6]

Orval Stinson passed away in 1991 in Chesley and is buried at the Chesley Cemetery. [7]
