Moved to Maitland with her family
Her father dies
1856 Sarah was 12 years old when she moved to the wilderness of Yarramalong with her mother, 2 older brothers and her younger sister (1). Her obituary tells us she could recount a time when "the district was literally alive with aboriginals".
1865 Her mother dies.
1872 Married James Moran in Newcastle (2). He was the brother of Bridget, who had married Sarah's brother Thomas 5 years earlier.
They move to Palmdale, Ourimbah (date unknown)
1873 Elizabeth Margaret born in Brisbane Water.
1874 Emily Bridget born in Brisbane Water.
1876 Annie born in Newcastle
1878 Mary M born in Newcastle.
1881 Sarah M born in Gosford
1884 A baby is born and dies unnamed
1886 Sarah is 42 when Geniviva J is born in Brisbane Water.
Her 5 daughters all marry
21 Sep 1930 Died aged 85 at her home in Palmdale, Ourimbah and is buried with her husband in the Lisarow cemetery. Their headstone (1,3,4,7)
