Biography

Elizabeth was born about 1652 and is the daughter of John Stockley and Elizabeth Watkins. She died about 1712.

Elizabeth married John Bowen, a former indentured servant to her father circa 1670, he died in 1678 [1]

Elizabeth and her second husband Henry Towels were the first non native Americans to settle on Chincoteague Island, a island off the Atlantic Coast of Virginia's Eastern Shore (circa 1690)[2]
