Green Berry Carter, born August 24, 1798, in N.C. died 1880, in McNairy county, Tennessee, married Nancy Ann Crews [1]
Ebenezer Carter, born February 26, 1806, died February 14, 1869, in Tate county, Mississippi [2]
Mary Carter, born February 11, 1812, died April 15, 1899, in Fannin county, Texas, married Samuel Swan Owens 1808-1895 [3]
Robert Stokes Carter, born March 4, 1824, in Randolph county, North Carolina, died February 10, 1907, in Bolivar, Hardeman county, Tennessee, married "Roseanna" Rose Ann Jones, in 1844 [4]
William E.D. Carter, born December 5, 1828, died December 28, 1904, in Fannin county, Texas, married Nancy A. Worsham [5]
Jesse Martin Carter died May 14, 1847, at the age of 67 years and is buried in the Crisp Cemetery, in Hebron, Hardeman county, TN. Lucy, at the age of 71, is found on the United States census of 1850, living in the household of their son, Robert Stokes Carter and his wife, Roseanna, and three of their children. [6]
Lucy (Stoker) Carter died September 13, 1858, at the age of 78 years in Boliver, Hardeman county, Tennessee and is buried with her husband. Lucy and Jesse share a double headstone, which may be seen on their Find A Grave memorials. [7]
