There is a Court record (Caroline County, Va Court Orders), Feb. 14, 1771 to settle the estate of John Comer. It reads "Thomas Comer, Jeremiah Stone and Susanna his wife, William Williams and Elizabeth his wife, Complainants, AGAINST, Annis, John, Charles, and Mary Comer, infants of John Comer, Defendants." This is primary evidence that Jeremiah's wife was Susanna Comer, not Grayson or Hurt. The record is viewable on FamilySearch.org: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-99PC-33Y5?cat=403144. More details on John Comer are available at https://vtcrewcat.wordpress.com/2019/03/21/comer-connections-part-2-caroline-county/, including the first court mention of John Comer's death in 1762.

Laurie, Have you looked at this profile for a different man named Jeremiah Stone (abt.1768-abt.1827). His WikiTree profile says that his wife was Mary Baker, but the Baulch pdf (http://www.baulch.us/JohnStone.pdf) on page 3 says that Jeremiah Stone married a woman named Susannah Comer.

Jeremiah, b. 1768, could not have married Susannah Comer. The court case in 1771 indicates Jeremiah and Susannah Comer were married by then.
