Log home of William P. Stone covered with wood siding. Located off of Burgess Falls Rd in Cookeville, TN near the Cane Creek Church Rd intersection. The logs where dismattled to make room for a housing subdivision. Present location of cabin is unknown. It is likely the cabin was originally built in 1830's. It was a two story structure.

1 Aug 1827 William P. Stone granted 25 acres on waters of Cane Creek. Wit: Thomas Stone. Surveyed 1 Aug 1827
11 Feb 1830 William P. Stone fifty acres on ridge between Cane Creek and Hutchins Creek adjacent Reuben Perkins, Samuel Richardson, James H. Carr. No. 439 Platt 1558 however a notation indicated that the actual platt survey is missing from the survey book Surveys of Jackson County TN
In December 1856 Term William served on the Putnam County Grand Jury.
