Biography

Abigail Stone, daughter of Simon Stone and Sarah Farnsworth, was born in 1690 in Groton, Massachusetts.[1] She was possibly born on 11 Dec 1690 in Groton.[citation needed]

She married on 11 Dec 1718 at Groton, Massachusetts to Nathaniel Holden and they had the following eight children, born at Groton:[2]

  1. Abigail, b. 15 Sep 1719, d. 31 Jan 1762, m. Seth Walker Jr., 8 ch.;
  2. Nathaniel, b. 2 Oct 1721, d. 30 Apr 1740;
  3. Isaac, b. 19 Nov 1723, d. 1796, m. Sarah ___, 2 ch;
  4. Lydia, b. 6 Dec 1725, d. 5 Feb 1744/5;
  5. Mary, b. 3 Apr 1728, m. Jonathan Sawtell, 8 ch.;
  6. Prudence, b. 26 Apr 1730, m. Amos Holden;
  7. Asa, b. 23 Aug 1732, d. 23 Jun 1813, m1. Dorothy Wait, m2. Sybil Lakin;
  8. Jabez, b. 12 May 1735, d. 11 Aug 1787, m. Rachel Farnsworth.

Abigail died 29 Sep 1757 in Groton[1][2] and is buried at Old Burying Ground in Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.[citation needed]

Wife of Nathaniel Holdin, married on Dec. 11, 1718.
Departed this life September 29 1757 in ye 60 year of her age.
