Biography

Julius Lafayette Stone was born 17th July,1857, in Edgefield County, South Carolina. Julius is the son of Isaac Stone and Sarah Johnson.

Julius, age 3, appears in the 1860 Federal census in Edgefield county, South Carolina in the household of his father, Isaac Stone.[1]

Julius, age 12, appears in the 1870 Federal census in Edgefield county, South Carolina in the household of his father, Isaac Stone.[2]

Julius, age 22, appears in the 1880 Federal census in Edgefield county, South Carolina in the household of his father, Isaac Stone.[3]

Julius married his cousin Virginia Manassas Stone, daughter of Jesse Moses Stone and Mary Louise Corley, about 1885 in South Carolina.

Julius appears in the 1900 Federal census in Edgefield county, South Carolina as head of household. Julius' household appears as follows: Julius' middle name Lafayette is used, his age is 36; Virginia age 32; Cleveland age 14; Luther age 12; Wilkins age 8; and Warren age 4.[4]

Julius died the 1st of June 1908 in McCormick county, South Carolina.
