Biography
Polly Stone, born about 1788 was the daughter of Capt. Ebenezer Stone. He moved from New Ipswich New Hampshire to Townsend, Middlesex, Massachusetts, April 1798 which could fittingly imply she was born in New Ipswich, New Hampshire. She died 14 Jul 1816 in Townsend, Middlesex, Massachusetts at age 28 years.
Gravestone: Inscription: In memory of Mrs. Polly wife of Thomas Ingalls Who died July 14, 1816. Aged 28 years. I ask not friendship fond & true: I ask not love, to grant my due: All human shall alike dispise, No state regard, but take my Praise: My name is Death, my cold embrace Blasts the fair form & lovely face.[1]
