He is buried in the Paris Cemetery, Paris, Bourbon County, KY.

John was born in December 1808 in Virginia. He is the son of John Stone and Judith Parrott. He passed away in September 1869 in Bourbon County, Kentucky[1] and is presumably buried in the family plot in Paris Cemetery, Bourbon County.[2]

John is named in his father's will dated 27 January 1821 and entered for probate the April Term 1821 in Bourbon County Court, Kentucky. He names Betsey Parrott Stone, Thomas Stone, John Stone, William Parrott Stone, Judith Yearby Stone, and Madison Stone. All of the children are still minors.[3]

John married Phoebe Mariah Desha, daughter of John and Rebecca (Overfield) Desha, 15 April 1834 in Bourbon County, Kentucky.[4] Phoebe's mother, Rebecca Desha, signed a consent form for Phoebe to be married on 12 April 1834. Bond was posted on 12 April 1834 with John Stone and John Desha as bondsmen.

In 1850 John and Phoebe were living in Bourbon County, Kentucky. In their household are children William, Mary Ellen, James N, and John Stone.[5]
