Biography

Joseph Oakes Story was born in 1874 in Mt Korong, Victoria, Australia, the son of Elizabeth Story and William Story.^[1]

He married Katie Kruse in 1898 in Victoria.^[2] Their children were:

• Ethel Frances Story (1899–1977)^[3]
• William Henry Story (1901–1934)^[4]
• Ernestine May Story (1903–1996)^[5]
• Frederick Joseph Story (1905–1967)^[6]
• Catherine Kruse Story (1908–?)^[5]
• Ron Story^[7]

Joseph left Katie and their children around the start of World War One.^[8]

On 12 April 1923, he remarried to Olive Ann Wallace.^[9] Their children were:

• Mary Roberta Story

Joseph died on 7 September 1949 in Lompoc, Santa Barbara Co. California USA.^[9] His remains were interred at Inglewood Park in Inglewood, California.^[9]
