William & Mary Jane were married about 1877 in AL but have not been located on the 1880 census. In 1900, they can be found in Robertson Co TX with 3 children in their household, all of which were born in AL. They say they have been married 23 years, had 8 children with only 3 living. It is not known when Mary Jane died.

William's second wife was Patience Story Franklin, the widowed sister of his first wife. After William's death, Patience married Mont Thomas Bailey. At this time, there is no known connection between Mont's family and the family of William's mother."
