1880 We find Ezra living in Jefferson Township, Sullivan County, Indiana with his mother and father -- Martin and "Emma" Storey -- as well as his sister, Susan.[1]
1900 About a month before Ezra is married, the census is enumerated, and he is listed in the household of his father in Meacham Township, Marion County, Illinois. Seven of his ten siblings are in the household: Lola M (20), Dasie E (16), Katie O (14), Grover A (12), Roy A (10), Monie E (8), Ima M (6).[2] Ezra is 23 when he marries Martha Slagley on 29 July in Marion County, Illinois.[3]

1914 Martha and Ezra appear to have divorced. She marries Samuel Brown on 7 Nov, and there is an Ezra Story who marries Clara Goin Connelly (parents: J. H. and Julia (Lewis) Goin) on 14 Dec in Marion County, Illinois. His parents' names are given as M. L. and Emily (Kelly) Story. It's not certain that this is the same Ezra Story, but his name, age and location all match.[5]

He is living in East St. Louis, St. Clair County, Illinois, but the registration takes place in Clinton County. He lists his Nearest Relative as Mrs. E. M.
