DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Hezekiah by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Hezekiah:
There is conclusive evidence that this Hezekiah Stout married Sarah Unknown Stout
1. Bought land October 29 1789 the same day he is said to have married Mary Powers.
2. Sary (Sarah) signed the marriage bond for the marriage of Daniel, her son, and Jemima Stout Aug 6 1800 in Harrison County, (W)V writing 'believing my husband would approve". Sarah lived to 1823 which is #3 and such a marriage could not have been.
3. Her burial and tombstone: She is buried in a gated section of the Stout Cemetery in Stout's Mill, Gilmer County, WV with son Samuel, his wife, Absalom, their son who bought his grandmother's tombstone Hezekiah Jr, son, and Thomas, son. On the stone is written: wife of Hezekiah and in memory of my grandmother.
It is important that the corrections be made on this profile.
