Biography

Nancy Stout, daughter of Job II and Mary Margaret Richards, was born about 1798 and died about 1874. She married Samuel Stout, son of Caleb and Elizabeth Labaw Stout, September 11 1815. (Bond) [1] They first lived on the Upper Elk and moved in 1855 to Gilmer County where he bought eleven hundred acres on Steer Creek. Sadly, during the Civil War he was robbed. He sold the land in 1865 and moved to Doddridge County where he owned a whole valley on Hunter's Fork. When he died he left each of his twelve children $1000.00. [2]

Nancy and Samuel Stout were the parents of Elizabeth m Job Green, [3] Peggy, Mortimer William m Martha Hammond and emigrated to Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, IN, [4] [5] Sara Catherine m Smith Barnett, [6] Julia m Seymour Norman, [7] William G m Elizabeth Eib, [8] Alstorpheus, Martha m John Stickel, [9] Margaret C m Perry Shock, [10] Josiah B S m Elizabeth Kessinger, [11] Noah B m Rebecca Barnett [12] and Drusilla m John Wesley Riddle.
