Biography

Samuel Stout, son of Caleb and Elizabeth Labaw Stout, born December 2 1792 and died May 25 1874. [1] married Nancy Stout, daughter of Job and Mary Margaret Richards, September 15 1815. [2] They were the parents of:

Samuel and Nancy first lived in the now Stonewood area of Harrison County, then moved to Gilmer County in 1855. They lived there through the Civil War and was one of those who was robbed and overrun by the armies. In 1865 he sold his farm and settled in Doddridge County, WV where Samuel, Nancy and most of the children lived the rest of their lives. [13]
