Research Note

This url--https://www.genealogy.com/ftm/s/t/o/Robert-Stout/FILE/0001page.html--takes you to a PLAGERIZED copy of Russell Ray Stout's book, "Stout Descendants in West Virginia" which is still under copyright. The url given with the reference above takes you to a site to purchase or borrow from a library.

Richard Ray Stout wrote that a fifth son, Jacob went to Kentucky, however, this seems disputed by his New Jersey will cited on his profile, Stout-5101.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joseph by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joseph:

Martha,

The citation was from his Find A Grave memorials and is my work which is also on the facebook Stout Family site. Please note the edited profile with inline reference sources. Toots is my childhood nickname that was used in findagrave.

Stout-5102 and Stout-477 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicate
