Biography

Jane (Stowell) Potts was born in Yorkshire, England.

Jane was born in Keighley, Yorkshire, England, in 1859. She was the daughter of John Stowell and Susannah Stowell. Jane was baptized on March 5, 1880 at Saint Stephen Church, Bowling, Bradford, West Yorkshire England. She was baptized on the same day as her Brothers Frederick, Charles, and Robert, as well as Sister, Elizabeth. Their address at the time of Baptism was 58 Evans Terrace, Bowling. Father John lists his occupation as "Book Keeper".

Jane appears to have spent her entire life in the Bradford area of England. She Married Alfred Potts on August 20, 1881 at Saint Peter's Church, (Bradford Cathedral). She and Alfred had eight children together, all born in Bradford.

Jane passed away in 1915.
