A serious accident occurred on Thursday afternoon last to Mrs. Kerr, wife of Mr. Michael Kerr, Inspector of Permanent Way, Victorian Railways, at present residing in Camperdown. Mrs. Kerr was bring driven along the Colac road by her son, when, about two miles from the township, near the Leura farm, the horse in the buggy shied at a passing cart laden with produce, and becoming unmanageable, bolted and upset the vehicle. Both occupants were thrown out, and Mrs. Kerr severely injured. Mr. Kerr, junr., though much shaken, escaped serious injury, and at once procured assistance and removed Mrs. Kerr to her residence. On Dr. Pettigrew's arrival, it was found that besides suffering from other injuries of a lesser kind, Mrs. Kerr's leg had been broken. Surgical remedies were at once applied, and the sufferer to some extent relieved. On Thursday night, Mrs. Kerr passed a very bad night, but improved in the course of yesterday.

KERR.--- On October 1st, at her late residence, Hesse street, Elizabeth, the wife of Michael Kerr; aged 64 years. The funeral will leave her late residence at 2 o'clock to-morrow afternoon for the place of interment the Colac cemetery.

NOTICE is herby given that after the expiration of fourteen days from the publication hereof application will be made to the Supreme Court of the Colony of Victoria in its probate jurisdiction, that PROBATE of the LAST WILL and TESTAMENT of ELIZABETH KERR, late of Colac, in the colony of Victoria, wife of Michael Kerr, of Colac aforesaid (formerly of Dandenong, in the said colony), inspector, deceased, may be granted and committed to George Armstrong, of Beeac, in the said colony, grazier (formerly of Dreeite in the said colony), station manager) and James Ford Strachan Kerr (in the said will called James Kerr) of Beeac aforesaid, farmer, the executors named in and appointed by the said will.
