Albert was born about 1850. Albert worked as a merchant. He immigrated from Germany, though I think it was later than he said in the 1900 census. But he was a merchant, so seems to have traveled a lot. He married Julia Lowenstein in Philadelphia, then they traveled to Texas [1879] and to Missouri [1884], before ending in NYC in 1900. Between 1905-1910 he is widowed. By 1920 he is 69 and living with his son, in NYC on Riverside Drive.
