THOMAS OSWALD STRICKLAND

The funeral service for Thomas Oswald Strickland, 53, 406 McManus St., Ellisville, was held at 3 p.m. today from the Jones Funeral Home chapel in Ellisville, with burial in the Ellisville Cemetery. The Rev. Harvey Easterling officiated.

Mr. Strickland was a member of the Pecan Grove Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Jones County. He was a veteran of both the U. S. Air Force and Marines, and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Hazel W. Strickland; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Helen Griggs, Baytown, Texas, and Mrs. Sandra Lynn Deckard, Lee City, Texas; his mother, Mrs. Ina Frances Strickland, Baytown, Texas; three brothers, Albert Strickland. York, Ala., Lewis Strickland, Livingston, Texas and Robert Strickland, Baytown, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Bobbie Reynolds, Baytown, Texas, Mrs. Lucy Payne, Shamrock, Texas, and Mrs. Shirley Oliver, San Antonio; and five grandchildren.

Jones Funeral Home of Ellisville was in charge. ^[9]
