Nell was born in 1863. Nell Striegel ... She passed away in 1945. ^[1]

"Nell was the baby of the Striegel family. Her uncle Chas Zellar was appointed guardian by the Court. He allowed a farmer family to take her. When she was 3 years old they moved to Iowa and kidnaped the child. Before the uncle could stop it they were in the State of Iowa, She lived with them until she was 18 years old. They treated her kindly but she wanted to live where her brother Joseph was so returned to Somonauk. Shortly after coming to Somonauk she married Henry Brown, a good husband and father. Nell was raised Protestant. These children after their mother's death spent every Sunday at Aunt Francis Sauter Abhalter’s house in Somonauk." Jesse Drazy genealogy notes.
