Biography

Elizabeth Strong was born in Northampton, Massachusetts, on September 27, 1704, the daughter of Preserved Strong and Tabitha Lee. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

On May 12, 1724, she married, in Coventry, Connecticut, Capt. Joseph Strong, son of Justice Joseph Strong and Sarah Allen. Joseph and Elizabeth were both great-grandchildren of John Strong, thus they were second cousins. Children: ^{[1] [2] [4]}

1. Joseph, born April 13, 1726; died December 16, 1727, aged 19 months.^[1][5]
2. Elizabeth, born February 2, 1727-8; married Dea. Richard Hale; died April 21, 1767.^[1][6][7]
3. Joseph, born March 19, 1728-9; died January 1, 1803.^[1][8]
4. Tabitha, born April 3, 1731; married Ebenezer Bishop of Lisbon, Connecticut; died August 10, 1768.^[1][9][10]
