Research Notes
Birth Place: It has been suggested that Polly was born about 1757 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. However, Pittsylvania County was established from Halifax County in 1767. So if the region is correct, perhaps she was born in Halifax County.
Thomas Loving's D.A.R. His D.A.R. record does not list her name. His first wife is shown as "1) XX".[1] So was this Polly Stroop his wife?
Find A Grave Memorial: Her Find A Grave Memorial provides minimal information regarding the subject, most of the information provided discusses her husband Thomas, his other wives, children and his Last Will. Unsourced information from her memorial: "Polly died in 1788 in North Carolina. Their children were Edmund, James Madison, Judy, Mary Ann Pace, Gabriel, John & Sarah 'Sally' (Loving) Bridges."[2]
