Biography
Hannah was born on 1 April 1837 & Baptised 4 April 1858 Burley, St Matthais, Yorkshire the daughter of Jesse Strother & Dinah. [1]
Living with sister & parents in Back Hanover Street, Leeds in 1851. [2]
The marriage of Joseph Sowry & Hannah Strother was conducted on 13 December 1858 Leeds, St. Peter, Yorkshire. [3]
With husband Joseph (a newsagent) and children living in Back Hanover Street, Leeds. [4] Joseph and his first wife Hannah arrived in New Zealand on the ship Zealandia in 1862 with an infant child (Arthur Sowry) [5]. Joseph and Hannah married in Leeds, Yorkshire, England in 1858 and had 12 children.
Hannah passed away on 10 April 1879 [6] [7]
