William died on 7 August 1927 in at the Police Station Pencoed, Glamorganshire and of Nantgoch Trethomas, Monmouthshire, Wales and probate granted to Marguerite Isabel Gertrude Stuart, widow of 16 September 1927 in Llandaff. he had been on an errand of mercy.
