Biography

John Stuart is the son of the Reverend David Stuart, born circa 1692, in Scotland and Jane (Gibbons) Stuart, born circa 1695, in Barbadoes. [1]

John was born in St. Paul's Parish, Stafford County, Virginia, where on February 16, 1749/50, he married Frances Alexander, daughter of Philip Alexander and Sarah (Hooe) Alexander. [1] [2]
