Biography

He is noticed in Ferguson's work[1] in the Marriage Register of the Scots Brigade when he appears in a contract of marriage, 5 May 1732 at Breda, between himself, stated to be a Corporal in Captain Erskine's company of Colonel Cunningham's Regiment, and Anne Carsen, stated as a daughter to James Carsen, soldier of the same Regiment. The marriage taking place on 23 May 1732. The witnesses were Sergeant William Ross and Donald MacLean.
