Henry "Harry" George Stuart was born on 6 November 1881 in 5 Haverstock Street, Camden, London, England. He was the son of John Frederick Stuart and his wife Sarah Owen.

He met his future wife Grace while they were both in the service of Edwin Charles Perry of Hammersmith, London, England.

He served in France and Flanders during WWI.

He died on 7 October 1916 at the age of 34, a casualty of WWI.
