Stuteville-9 and Stuteville-6 appear to represent the same person because: It appears that Stuteville-9 is probably connected to the wrong husband. Robert Stuteville's profile does mention two wives, but Agnes is not one of them.

It's still not clear whether or not the connection to *Roger* Stuteville is correct because there are no sources on his profile or Agnes's, but I do think it's safe to disconnect her from Robert, merge the two profiles and then move on w/ the research for Roger Stuteville.

The outstanding issue will be the children that are connected to Stuteville-9. Which of those should go, and which should stay?

Currently, Stuteville-9 is connected to Murdac-1 in an Unmerged Match, which seems incorrect. I will be removing that match.

If you have questions or concerns about this, please let me know.

Thanks!

Julie

If we are going to retain Agnes as a wife of one of the Stuteville profiles (though there seems to be no evidence so far that she is the wife of any of the Stuteville men), then her LNAB should be Unknown. To merge Stuteville-9 into Stuteville-6 and then change her LNAB is running into the multiple redirects problem. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Project_Protecting_and_Merging#Background:_The_multiple_redirects_problem so one of the profiles should be renamed as Unknown before the merge takes place. I'll do some research to see if I can find any sources that confirm her existence.

I've been unable to find the wife of Roger de Stuteville mentioned by name. There are two Agnes de Stuteville's elsewhere in the family. The wife of John de Stuteville is named Agnes, but her family name is unknown. She already has a profile https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Unknown-132503 and then one of the five daughters of Roger de Stuteville is named Agnes, and she married Herbert de St Quentin. There is information about Agnes and her sisters and their brother Anselm in Early Yorkshire Charters, vol. 2 https://archive.org/details/earlyyorkshirech02farruoft/page/35/mode/1up and Early Yorkshire Charters, vol. 9 is based on the Stuteville families, but because it was published in 1952 only sections are available on Google Books https://books.google.com.au/books?id=TbHFxV8bXuMC&printsec=copyright&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false. Agnes the daughter of Roger de Stuteville may have two profiles already on WikiTree, one that is misnamed Anne and attached as a daughter of Robert de Stuteville https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Stuteville-50 and another that is attached to Roger de Stuteville but not attached to her husband https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Stuteville-8

There seem to be a couple of options as to what to do with the Stuteville-9 and Stuteville-6 profiles. They could be retained as wife of Roger de Stuteville, but LNAB changed to Unknown and Agnes marked as uncertain. They could be merged with existing profile of Agnes Unknown, wife of John de Stuteville or they could be disconnected as wife of Roger and Robert de Stuteville and merged with Agnes de Stuteville the daughter of Roger and wife of Herbert de St Quentin?

Thank you for looking into this, John! I think any one of those options would be reasonable. My choice would be to disconnect Stuteville-9 and Stuteville-6 as a wife from Roger and merge them into the profile for Roger's daughter.

A research note could then be added to Roger's profile to indicate that there is no evidence of a wife named Agnes. If evidence is found a profile could be created for her then.

I really have no vested interest in this family, but I have been and will be working on resolving Unmerged Matches, so I will defer to whatever choice you think would be best in this case. :-)

Thanks, again!

Motherhood of Beatrice would have meant pregnancy at 73 years of age.
