He was married about 1867 to Martha Jo[4][5] West.[6] The couple had the following known children:
Thomas Wilson Sullivan was born in Mississippi in 1868.[4][5][7] He died in 1895 and is buried in Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Smith County, Mississippi.[8]
Sardis M. Sullivan was born in Smith County, Mississippi in January of 1870.[4][5]
Mary E. Sullivan was born in Mississippi about 1872.[5]
Martha Lela Sullivan was born in Mississippi about 1873.[5] The wife of Joe C. Walker, she died 02 Jul 1950 at her home in Collins, Mississippi and was buried 03 JUL 1950 in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, Taylorsville, Smith County, Mississippi,[9]
Emma Zorah Sullivan was born in Mississippi[5] in 1875, died in 1927 and is buried in Union Cemetery, Hot Coffee, Covington County, Mississippi.[10]
Ira Loten Sullivan was born in Covington County, Mississippi on 12 Feb 1878[11][12][5] He died on 02 Jul 1960 in Caddo Parish, Louisiana.[6]
Otho F. Sullivan was born in Mississippi[5] 25 Oct 1879, died 01 Jan 1958 and is buried in Bassfield City Cemetery, Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi.[13]
Irma Sullivan was born in Mississippi in January of 1885.[14]
Beulah Sullivan was born in Mississippi in October of 1886.[14]
Ulysses Sullivan was born in Mississippi in December of 1888.[14]
Cuma Sullivan was born in Mississippi[14] on 14 Jan 1894, died 26 Nvo 1976 and is buried in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Collins, Misssissippi.[15]
Loten appears on the 1872 Smith County, Mississippi Land Tax List as follows:
Loten Sullivan - 2 acres of the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 28, Township 10, Range 15 West. Lying East of the Raleigh and Williamsburg Road and South of the Mill Creek known as the Carter Mill Creek. [16]
