William Macey “Billy” Sullivan was born 26 Aug 1826 in Dickson County, Tennessee, USA.
"William Sullivan enlisted in December 1862 under Capt. Ed Baxter. He served in the Baxters Co. Light Artillery, Confederate States Army, Tennessee. He served as a teamster in Civil War. He was captured and paroled on April 28, 1865 at Macon, Georgia William suffered a concussion and loss of hearing due to artillery firings and had abscess in right leg under knee after shot, which later developed into severe rheumatism."
He died10 Feb 1920 (aged 93) in Williamson County, Tennessee, USA and was buried in Hudgins Cemetery, Fairview, Williamson County, Tennessee, USA [1]
