She and her husband owned/ran a feed store in Pitt County. Her husband would watch a farmer struggling with a 100 pound bag of seeds and tell him he was weak, that he himself could load three bags at once. The farmer would then get mad and bet him that he couldn't. Levy would then put my 80 pound grandmother on his shoulders and pass a bag up to her. She would balance the bag on his head, and he would put one bag under each arm and walk over to the farmer's vehicle, load his two by shifting his weight, take the bag from my grandmother and place it also. He won his bet(s).
