Biography
I have to say that some of this is based on logic rather than hard documentation.
There are only two records of a John Sutherland and Christina / Christian McDonald being married. One from 1814 and one from 1822. The John Sutherland here is the one married in 1822. I have chosen this John Sutherland since he is the one that has a son Thomas [who went onto register his sister Margaret / Marjory's death].
John's DoB is an estimate based on his marriage date. I can't find a death certificate since there are too many John Sutherlands and I don't have that much money! He is not declared as dead on Margaret's death register entry.
