Agnes Dow Sutherland and Robert James Merrilees Runciman married on the 12th of July 1893 in New Zealand ^{[2][3][4][5][6][7]}

Note: at the home of Alexander Sutherland; cert. shows Robert James Merrilees as farmer bachelor s/o James Runciman, settler and Mary m.s. Binnie and Agnes Dow as d/o Alexander Sutherland, farmer, and Bertha m.s. Dow. Both were born Otago and resident West Taeiri, both signed, wit: Helen Sutherland West Taieri and Richard John Binnie Runcmian, Brighton ^[8][9]
