On the 23rd August 1847, Samuel married Elizabeth Charlotte Enston at Ss. Mary & Eanswith, Folkestone, Kent, England. Samuel Sutton, bachelor, servant of Folkestone (no father recorded) and Elizabeth Charlotte Enston, spinster of Folkestone, daughter of Jeffrey Enston (Carpenter). He died aged 47 years in 1867^[4].

The Samuel Sutton who married Elizabeth Charlotte Enston was actually born Folkestone and living at 47 Dover Street, Folkestone in 1861 NOT the Samuel Sutton (Farmer) & Eliza Sutton nee Thornby living at Saltwood.

Samuel must have died before 1869, as widowed Elizabeth Charlotte Sutton remarried to John Standing on the 3rd October 1869 at Folkestone^[7].
