Biography
Permelia Sutton was born on 12 Aug 1828 in Edenton, Chowan Co., North Carolina. When she was 18, she married Willis McGilvary, son of John McGilvary and Ruth Owens, on 26 Nov 1846 in Madison Co., Illinois. Willis and Permelia were the parents of Charles J. and three children died in infancy.
Permelia died on 28 Sep 1852 in Madison Co., Illinois. She was buried in New Douglas Cemetery, New Douglas Madison Co., Illinois.
Permelia lived in Township 6 N R 7 W, Madison, Illinois, USA in 1850.
