Biography

John was an agriculturalist. He had five children:^[1]

Mary, who died with her husband and son in the San Francisco earthquake of 1906

Joseph, a mailman, who lived into his eighties; he married Agnes, and they adopted a son, Wilfred, perhaps in Canada. He also married a woman named Edith, whose father was an evangelical minister in Bennington, NY

Fanny, who ran a confectionary store

Dorothy

Lydia Kate

John lived into his nineties.^[1]
