Biography

Carl was born in 1829. In 1855 Carl left Sweden (via Schleswig) and settled in Denmark (1). In 1859 he was married to Mariane Marcussen (2). In 1870, by now with a family of six he lived in Sundby, Thisted, Denmark (3). Date and route of emigration to the US remains unknown. The 1895 US Census lists him as farmer in River Hill, Polk Minnesota (4). He passed away in 1896. The burial site is located at Asphult Cemetery, McIntosh, Polk, Minnesota (5).
