Mary was the daughter of Elijah Swain and Susanna Cathcart. Mary had four sisters, Eunice, Susanna, Phebe, and Christian, and four brothers, Elijah, John, Robert, and Owen. She married Simeon Bunker 27 Jan 1766 in Nantucket. [2]

  2. Phebe Bunker, born 23rd 10 mo 1768, married 1) William Cash Jr. 25 Oct 1787 and 2) Reuben Cash (brother of William Jr.) 6 Oct 1805, died 18 Sep 1853. [1]
  3. Jonathan Bunker, born 14th 5 month 1772, married Mary (Polly) Smith 2 Apr 1795 in Farmington, Kennebec (now Franklin), Maine, also lived in New York and Ohio, a rope-maker, was involved in commerce. [1][3]
  4. Elizabeth (Betsey) Bunker, born in 1772, married John Getchell Jr. in 5 Apr 1795 in Vassalboro, Kennebec, Maine. [1]
  5. Susan Bunker, born in 1774 in Nantucket, Massachusetts, married Benjamin Meader between 21 Apr 1799 and 25 Apr 1800 in Nantucket, Nantucket, Massachusetts. [1]
  6. Gorham Bunker, born 17th 5 mo 1780 in Nantucket, Massachusetts, married Phebe Burdett 10 Apr 1804, died of consumption 28 Jan 1848 in Nantucket, Massachusetts, mariner, lived in Maine and Nantucket.[1][4]
