She was an invalid for many years and was cared for lovingly by her spry husband, "Whitey."
"I am a grandson of Arno Schorer, THE Schorer of the A. R. Schorer Co. noted by Mariana. I met Irene from time to time when I visited my grandfather at his office. She was a nice enough lady. She really proved her mettle -- and her loyalty to my grandfather -- after he suffered the stroke which permanently disabled him. It was Irene who cleaned up the financial mess left by my grandfather due to his unwise investments which all crashed when he became incapacitated. It was therefore Irene who made it possible for my grandmother, Vera Schorer, to spend her final years comfortably.
