Elizabeth Swain was born in Reading, Massachusetts, on December 10, 1743, the daughter of Benjamin Swain and Sarah Appleton.[1][2]
She married Benjamin Wyman, Jr., in Woburn, Massachusetts, on October 31, 1765 (January 23, 1765 - County Record). They are listed as "both of Woburn" in the marriage record. Benjamin was the son of Benjamin and Esther (Richardson) Wyman. He died July 6, 1774. Children:[1][3][4]
Elizabeth (Swain) Wyman died in Woburn on January 6, 1773, "in ye 30th Year of Her Age." The Woburn Death Record cites a death date of July 6, 1773,[6] but that was almost certainly taken from Nathan Wyman's 1847 cemetery survey in which he erroneously cited, "Wyman, Elisalett w. of Benjamin July 6 1773 30y."[7] Elizabeth was buried at the First Burial Ground in Woburn, where her gravestone reads:[1]
