Stephen Swain descends from John Swain, a Nantucket founder.
Stephen (Swaine) and Elenor Ellis, both of Nantucket, were married Nov. 24, 1723 (Swain, s. John Jr. and Experience (Folger), and Eleanor Ellis. Swain and Ellener Ellis) in Nantucket, Nantucket, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[1]
