Mary Swallow was born about 1808 in Middleton, Lancashire, England & baptised there 30th October 1808,^[1][2] the daughter of Joshua Swallow & Alice Taylor.

Mary Swallow, of Tong & Richard Richardson were married 7th September 1828 in the Parish Church of Prestwich St. Mary, Lancashire, England by Banns, by Philip Wharton. Richard & Mary both signed. Witnesses were Jas Grimshaw & Abr'm Kay.^[3][4]
