Andrew was born in 1875. He was the son of Charles Swanson and Carolina Johansdotter. He passed away in 1949. [1]
Andrew was born in Galesburg in 1875. He married Charlotte Lewis in 1896. They lived in Galesburg until Charlotte's death just four days after Andrew's mother Caroline died. Charlotte died during a series of convulsions.
It looks like Andrew left Galesburg when his father Carl moved to Milan to live with his daughter Anna Ranbarger in 1909.
In the 1930 Illinois Census for Rock Island Co. Blackhawk Township It shows both Frank and Andrew living with sister Anna in Milan.
Andrew traveled around Florida, Texas and Oklahoma by jumping trains and working at odd jobs. He would write to Aunt Winnie from time to time, hinting at needing money, Aunt Winnie would usually send him a little.
In one letter he writes and asks Aunt Winnie what year his mother and wife died. It's known he drank but was this lapse of memory from drinking or just old age.
