Biography

Alexander was born on 18 April 1794 in Exeter, (Luzerne) PA. He was the son of Alexander Swartwout and Catrina (Schoonmaker) Swartwood.[1]

In the 1850 census Alexander (age 56) was living in Exeter, Wyoming, Pennsylvania. Age: 55[1]

In the 1860 census Alexander (age 66) was living in Exeter, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, United States. Age: 66[2]

In the 1870 census Alexander (age 76) was living in Exeter, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, United States. Age: 76Census Post Office: Exeter[3]

Alexander died at the age of 84 on 8 December 1877 in Exeter, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, USA and was buried in Falls, Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, USA.[4]
