Biography

Barton Lewis Sweet was born in 1778 in Rutland, Vermont, the son of Jonathan Sweet and Mary Bowery. He married Sarah Anna Van Wormer on September 17, 1796, in New York, New York. They had 11 children in 23 years. Barton died in 1834 in Sandusky, Ohio, at the age of 56, and was buried in Bellville, Ohio.
