Biography

George Sweet was born in 1710 in Rhode Island.

He married Ruth Sweet on June 29, 1740 in East Greenwich, Rhode Island.[1]

Together they had 9 children:

His will is dated 12 February 1790 and proved on 2 February 1796 in Exeter, Rhode Island.[12] He mentions his sons, George Sweet, and Jabez Sweet; his daughters, Dorothy Gardiner, Susannah Tembleton, Hannah Gardiner, Ruth Davis, Elizabeth Gardiner, and Amy Benjamin. He also mentions his wife Ruth.

Sweet-3010 and Sweet-1880 appear to represent the same person because: These are most likely the same person. The birth date is off by five years but is uncertain. Sweet-3010 has very little information to go on, but is similar to Sweet-1880 in death date. There was only one George Sweet that died in Exeter, RI in 1796, his probate is on Sweet 1880. Thanks!
