Birth
Jesse B. Sweet was born 22 August 1750 at West Greenwich, Kent County, Rhode Island to parents Griffin and Priscilla Sweet. ^[1]

West Greenwich was incorporated "the first Wednesday of April, 1741".

Marriages and Children
On the 25th October 1772 Jesse married 1st Huldah Whitford also of West Greenwich. ^[2] and they were the parents of the following known children:

1. Priscilla, b. 20 May 1773, West Greenwich ^[3] ; m. Wilbert Cahoon ; 1820 residence Troy, Cuyahoga, Ohio
2. Hannah, b. 13 Oct 1774, West Greenwich ^[3] ; m. William Brown, Sr. (1766-1820) ; 7 Aug 1839, d. Dryden, Tompkins, N.Y.
3. Wanton, b. 6 Oct 1776, West Greenwich ^[3] ; m. 1 Dec 1800, Olive Carr ; d. 2 Feb 1850, Norway, Herkimer, N.Y.

Huldah Whitford Sweet died in 1817 and by the 6th December 1821 he is believed to have married second Joanna Sayles of Smithfield, Providence, Rhode Island.

Jesse outlived his 2nd wife Joanna Sayles and married third Bridgit Sullivan.

Death
Jesse Sweet died on 16 October 1841 at Providence, Rhode Island. He is believed to have belonged to the Friends of Rhode Island.
