Sarah died in Glocester, Rhode Island on 21 August 1905 at the age of 49 years, 8 months, and 29 days suggesting she was born on 23 November 1855 in Glocester, the daughter of Darling E. and Mary Sweet. She was married at the time of her death and was buried at Chepachet, Rhode Island.[1]
Sarah married Franklin E. Dodge on 4 September 1874 in Webster, Massachusetts. He was of Charlton and she was of Harmony, RI. No other information is entered for the couple.[2]
Sarah married second, on 10 January 1880 in Glocester, Rhode Island, to William B. Shippee.[3] William B. Shippee, age 32, born in Connecticut, son of Thurber P. Shippee and Laura J. Esten. Sarah A. Sweet Dodge, age 23, daughter of Darling E. Sweet and Mary Wilman, reported that she was a widow. Franklin, however, had married second nearly a year earlier, so Sarah was probably actually divorced.
